New management members at Elanders Print & Packaging Group
In April 2023, Elanders Print & Packaging Group, a global leader in printing services, announced that it is strengthening its management team with two high-profile additions.
Ulrich Schätzl as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Eduard Kaupert as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will support the management team, which will be led by Sven Burkhard, the Executive Board member and CEO.

At the beginning of April, Sven Burkhard, the CEO of Elanders Print & Packaging, presented Elanders’ new strategy.
The new corporate strategy of Elanders Print & Packaging in Germany was presented on April 1 as part of an internal company celebration under the motto “One Team – One Brand – One Company”. The new concept comprises four so-called business units, which are made up of the Print on Demand/Mass Customization, Packaging, Publishing Solutions and Innovative Print Products areas.

Double-digit million amount secures sustainable growth in new markets
The Elanders Print & Packaging Group, the world’s leading supplier in the areas of “Industrial PoD” (Industrial Print on Demand) and highly individualized print products, has put together an investment package worth tens of millions of euros. This will not only increase capacities in Waiblingen and Donauwörth with two additional production sites and new machines, but above all further expand the company’s service portfolio and strong market position. The major investment became necessary because Elanders was able to successfully attract new customer groups following the acquisition of Schätzl Druck + Medien in the summer of 2021.

Schätzl Druck & Medien is one of the most successful digital printing service providers in the field of mass customization in Germany and thus complements the Elanders Group’s strategy in the online print and highly individualized print products segment. The dynamic company has “reinvented itself” in recent years, making the transition from offset printer to agile digital printer. The acquisition of Schätzl makes Elanders one of the most flexible digital printing service providers in Central Europe and strengthens its position in the fast-growing market for customized print products.
